Steven Meisel is a fashion pre-eminent image maker, visualising the trends of every season. Meisel doesn't just have the ability to create unique fashion trends but also has a talent for scripting storylines that reflects culture. His inspiration are taken from design, architecture, art, cinema and literature. Meisel has also created some of fashion most memorable campaign for todays leading fashion designers like Calvin Klein.

Here is a photo from one of his collections Venus in Fur. Looking at this collection i feel this is his vision of the winter fashion. This is because in everyone of his photos a fur coat has been worn or laid on a model. In this photo everything looks a pale white even the models skin, apart from the brown hair and fur coat. The reason why Meisel may feel it is necessary for the models to lay on a white backdrop with icy pale skin is because this could represent the winter weather and how we sometimes experience frost or snow. Therefore, the fur coat will symbolise how important it is to stay warm but still look fashionable during this cold season.

My shoot winter fashion links well with this photographer because i have included photos where the models are wearing fur coats. However, these two shoots are very different as well as similar because my view on winter fashion included a fully dresses model with complete outfit to wear during this time. But Meisel visualization is not 100% realstic but unique in a way that shows the meaning of winter fashion.
